Every year, JIBS offers a selection of single-subject courses, aimed at those who are already working and seek to upgrade or add to their knowledge. The courses – tailored to offer you a refreshing learning experience – are based on cutting-edge research as well as practical insights. Our goal is to offer the most relevant competency development opportunities for managers and leaders.
The courses build on JIBS’ world-renowned research excellence in the areas of entrepreneurship, ownership, and renewal. This translates into courses on (for example) family business management, sustainability transition, financial management, and digital supply chain management.
By including JIBS single subject courses at JIBS part of your lifelong learning will not only facilitate your competence development but also add to your network of likeminded professionals and successful business leaders.
We also offer some of our regular programme courses as single subject courses. Studying these courses provide an opportunity for anyone seeking inspiration and new knowledge but not necessarily looking for a complete degree.
Please note that spots in the courses are allocated competitively.
Accelerating a Sustainability Transition, 15 ECTS
"Accelerating a Sustainability Transition" empowers sustainability change makers to accelerate their organization's transition towards regenerative sustainability. By exploring value chains, ecosystems, and social dynamics of transformation, the course provides a roadmap to align with the 1.5-degree target and Agenda 2030 goals. The course offers regular dialogues, coaching, and mentoring sessions to empower individuals to coach their organization towards sustainability.
Online meetings are scheduled on a weekly basis Friday 9-11am CET and recorded for participants who can’t attend.
Weekly 2-hours preparation time is recommended (watching videos + reading material).

Leading Change: Accelerating AI Adoption, 5 ECTS
The course "Leading Change: Accelerating AI Adoption" provides you with the latest AI knowledge and practical leadership tools to drive change in your organization. You will gain insights into AI's global impact and learn how to develop strategies for effectively implementing AI in rapidly changing business environments. The course is delivered online and combines interactive lectures with practical case studies, making it ideal for those who want to lead AI-driven development in their field.

Management Accounting for Small and Medium Size Enterprises, 7,5 ECTS
The course aims to highlight the role of financial management as a tool for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to achieve their goals and implement strategies. The course demonstrates the significance of financial management for businesses, different methods and models used in financial management, and how these can be applied. Analysis and critical reasoning around the causes and effects of financial management are also included. Areas of focus include costs, budgeting, and performance measurement in the context of SMEs.

Strategic Competence Development, 7,5 ECTS
The course equips participants with the skills to navigate and lead in today’s rapidly changing business environment. It focuses on key aspects of strategic marketing, such as digitalization, consumer trends, leadership, and organizational adaptation. Through a combination of theory and practice, using real-world case studies, students develop analytical abilities and decision-making skills. The course provides tools to design adaptive marketing strategies and drive initiatives that create both business and societal value.
