September Light is held in different locations each year, and this time the event was organized on the Esplanade in Huskvarna centre.
Students lit up Huskvarna center for one night
On the evening of 27 September, the centre of Huskvarna was seen in a new light. Lighting Design students from the School of Engineering (JTH) at Jönköping University had decorated the Esplanade with light and colour through the event Septemberljus.
"Many people came to the event, and several were impressed that it was us students who were behind it," says student Stina Daag Gustafsson.

Students studying the Lighting Design and Technology programme at JTH organized September Lights in collaboration with Jönköping Municipality. This year's theme was the garden and the students put lights on trees, bushes and exposed tents in bright colors as well as self-made flowers, butterflies and a large bonfire, -to name a few things. There were also images of fish, flowers and more projected on the ground with spotlights. Students Stina Daag Gustafsson and Teolinn Henningsson received many positive comments from visitors.
"Several people thought it was fun that Septemer Lights had come to Huskvarna and that we should leave what we had done on the site because it was so nice, which was fun to hear! It was also nice to tell people about our education," says Stina.
She and Teolinn emphasize that September Light gave them room to be creative and knowledge about how to think about outdoor lighting and wiring.
"We have realized that we know more than we think about this and how important collaboration is," says Teolinn.
