On 24 November, Anna Tenje, Minister for Older People and Social Security, visited the School of Health and Welfare at Jönköping University (JU). During her visit, she learned about several current research projects focusing on the perspectives of the elderly, which is a timely topic.

JU students livestreams for 36 hours to raise money for Music Aid
The 2025 edition of Radio K Bryr Sig (RKBS) will begin live streaming at 08:00 on 25 November and will broadcast live until 20:00 on 26 November. All money raised by the event will go directly to this year’s Music Aid (Musikhjälpen). This year’s theme is “All children have the right to go to school”.

TEDx event inspired participants to come up with new ideas
About 40 students at Jönköping University (JU) organized the event TEDxJönköping University in Science Park Towers in Jönköping on 22 November. Under the theme "Redefining Limits" they wanted to show that borders are not obstacles, but starting points for new opportunities.

Young people participated during children's conference
The annual Children's Rights Conference was again organized on 20 November which is Children's Rights Day – an international day to raise awareness of children's rights. In a packed auditorium at Jönköping University, the audience enjoyed inspiring lectures and discussions where young people were invited to participate.

JU supports A week free from violence
During the campaign week against violence in close relationships, Orange Week, which runs from 17 to 25 November, Jönköping University (JU) will be lit up in orange. In the University Library and at the School of Health and Welfare, anyone who wants to show their solidarity can tie a symbolic orange ribbon to a tree in the respective entrance. JU's research blog will publish posts on the theme throughout the week.

This was one of the questions discussed when Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Benjamin Dousa (M) visited Jönköping University (JU) on Tuesday 11 November. During his visit, he gave a lecture and held a question-and-answer session for students on this year's turbulent trade policy, relations with the US, and Sweden's role in the global economy.

Open lectures during the week before the Academic Ceremony
On 29 November, it is time for Jönköping University's (JU) Academic Ceremony. Thirty-four doctors and two honorary doctors will be conferred, and five professors will be inaugurated. In connection with the ceremony, lectures will be held with the honorary doctors, professors and recipient of the Pedagogical Prize.

Many conversations were held and contacts were made between students and companies at the career fair Karriärum at the School of Engineering (JTH), Jönköping University on 5 November. 116 employers and about 1,500 students participated.
