He has had a close and long-standing collaboration with Jönköping University, where he has been a key figure in the development of the bachelor's programme in lighting design and lighting technology – a programme that is unique in its kind both nationally and internationally.</p><p>As a former student and member of the programme's industry council, Björkman has contributed both practical expertise and strategic development. Through lectures, research collaborations and an active partnership between Fagerhult and JU, he has promoted knowledge exchange and inspired the lighting designers of the future.
