Accommodation
The student residences are situated on Campus Gränna within a short walk from the lecture and dining hall. The accommodation option included in the fees is a furnished room for one person. The kitchens, bathrooms, and communal areas are shared with other students living in the same house.
The cost of the programme includes a half-board meal plan. Lunch and dinner are served in the restaurant on campus or as boxed meals. Breakfast and late meals can be prepared in the student residences. The kitchens in the residences are equipped with standard kitchen utensils. Meals off-campus are generally not included in the fees.
The accommodation can be accessed from the start of the pick-up service, it is not possible to move in at an earlier date.
Please note: accommodation on Campus is for students only, family members can not stay in the student accomodation.
Pick-up Service
Jönköping University offers a pick-up service to international students. The pick-up service will be available once you have arrived in Jönköping.
The service will pick students up from designated pick up places in Jönköping and escort them to their accommodation.
To make use of this service, it is necessary that you confirm your arrival date before the deadline:
Students starting Pathway Programme Spring semester 2026 need to confirm their arrival date before December 15, 2025.
Students starting Pathway Intensive English Programme in July 2026 need to confirm their arrival date before June 20, 2026.
Please note that admitted students will be contacted directly when it is time to confirm the arrival information.
If you arrive after the last pick-up time or after office hours, you need to find housing for the night and contact accommodation@ju.se to set up an appointment for another day. Read more about hostels and hotels here External link, opens in new window.

FAQ regarding accommodation for Pathway Programme students
Can I choose my place of accommodation?
No, you cannot chose your specific accommodation. All students will be assigned their accommodation at Campus Gränna.
After Pathway Programme, and if you have a follow-up programme at JU:
You will be able to fill in three housing choices in your application. Based on those choices the placements will be made by the staff at the Accommodation Office.
Where do I pick up my key for the accommodation in Gränna?
All Pathway students must visit Jönköping University campus to pick up their keys. You cannot pick up your key at Campus Gränna.
When do I apply for accommodation for my study programme at Jönköping University?
The accommodation application for those Pathway students that are continuing their studies at Jönköping University will be done the same way and during the same period of time as all other international students. An email with the log in details will be sent out during the application period.

Can I stay in Jönköping University accommodation after Pathway, and before I start my JU programme?
Even if you hold a conditional offer for a study programme at Jönköping University, accommodation is not provided during the period between the end of your Pathway studies and the start of your degree programme.
Note: Students enrolled in the Pathway Intensive English (Summer) who begin a degree programme at Jönköping University in the autumn semester will have access to accommodation immediately after completing the Pathway programme.
