Health Promotion and Prevention

The theme Promotion and Prevention is an interdisciplinary network consisting of faculty from the School of Health and Welfare. The participants share a common interest in developing knowledge about what promotes health and strengthens or maintains people's physical, mental, and social well-being. The second area within the theme involves preventive work aimed at reducing the risk of the occurrence or progression of illness, injury, or physical, mental, or social problems, as well as preventing relapse. The network aims to create opportunities for research collaboration and meets a few times per semester for seminars, networking, and knowledge dissemination.
