Here you will find information about upcoming meetings and seminars. As a lecturer, doctoral student, researcher, or collaboration partner, you are warmly welcome to our open seminars. Within SIHW, there are both subject-specific seminars and workshops on research methodology.

On September 18, the research environment coordinator will meet with our theme leaders for a review of the current situation and a discussion of the identified challenges and opportunities within SIHW’s respective themes.

net-WORK
On September 11, from 1–3 p.m., net-WORK will have its first meeting of the fall in room Ga626. For more information, please contact Anne-Le Morville.
Older adults and Aging
On October 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the theme Older Adults and Aging will meet. For more information, please contact Sofi Fristedt.
Social Perspectives on Health and Welfare
Below are the upcoming meetings for Social Perspectives on Health and Welfare.

On September 15, 1:15–3:00 pm, a workshop on the theme will be held.
Discussion material can be found in the Outlook calendar booking.
On October 6, 1:15–3:00 pm, a text seminar will be held, with the opportunity to present your own texts and ideas. Expressions of interest and material should be sent to elin.lindsmyr@ju.se no later than September 29.
On November 10, 1:15–3:00 pm, Kristoffer Nilsson from Karlstad University will present his dissertation: In the Public Eye. On trust and perceptions of social services, and how these are perceived and handled by social workers.
On December 8, 1:15–3:00 pm, a work seminar will be held focusing on applications.
At text seminars, a designated reader is appointed for each text. This person reads extra carefully and leads the discussion during the seminar.
If you wish to present a text and have a suggestion for a designated reader, please mention it when submitting your material in advance of the seminar.
Violence in close relationships
October 15, 1–2 PM. What research is currently being conducted within the theme of violence, and where are we headed? If you are a doctoral student, lecturer, or researcher with an interest in this theme, you are warmly welcome. There will be opportunities to present ongoing studies, ideas for new projects, or similar.
Together, we will look ahead and set the stage for a new term within the theme of violence. For questions or more information, please contact Berit Möller.
Place: Ga626, Antarktis
November 11, 1:30–3:00 PM. The theme of violence will be joined by Elizabeth Muhic and Maria Birgerheim from the Child Protection Team within Region Jönköping County. The session will begin with a presentation of the team’s work. After that, those interested will have the opportunity to take part in a workshop aimed at discussing ideas for joint projects.
