Prince Johnson successfully defends his doctoral thesis

On Friday, 17 October 2025, Prince Johnson, member of the Media, Management and Transformation Centre (MMTC), successfully defended his doctoral thesis in Business Administration at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS).
Prince’s dissertation, titled “New Wineskins for New Wine: Institutional Change and AI-Driven Digitalization”, explores how technological innovation and organisational capabilities interact to drive digital transformation and competitiveness. By examining how firms integrate digital technologies into their strategies, the study offers valuable insights into the managerial practices and decision-making processes that enable sustainable innovation in changing environments.
The public defence took place at JIBS with Professor Robin Teigland from Chalmers University of Technology serving as the faculty examiner/opponent.
Members of the examining committee were:

- Professor Johan Magnusson, University of Gothenburg
- Associate Professor Daniel Nylén, Umeå University
Professor Timur Uman chaired the defence, and Professor Karin Hellerstedt (JIBS) served as principal supervisor, with Associate Professor Mart Ots (MMTC and JIBS) as second supervisor.
