Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) invites candidates to positions as academic leaders in Economics (one full professor and one associate professor). Candidates to the first position should satisfy criteria for full professorship, and are expected to possess a strong and active research record. The holder of the position should have the ability to contribute to the development of the theoretical and empirical knowledge in economics at JIBS, to manage research and education activities, and to interact with society at large. The holder of the position is expected to conduct research and to engage in both undergraduate and graduate teaching. The assessment of applications will focus on academic skills as well as on teaching skills. Administrative competence/experience is also valued.
The second position as associate professor is intended to complement the position as professor to allow for a wider spectrum of economic theory at the department.

Assistant Professor
in Business Administration, with a focus on Business Logistics and Supply Chain Management »
The Jönköping region is an important and very expansive node for logistics and supply chain management in Sweden. Supply chain management and business logistics research and teaching has been an important part of JIBS’ activities during the last years, and the department for Marketing and Logistics has a strong research focus in the areas for the position. A Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management (CeLS) has also been formed together with regional, national and international stakeholders, and we expect the assistant professor to be active in the centre.
The department of Marketing and Logistics will employ an Assistant Professor (universitetslektor) in Business Administration with a focus on Business Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
Position and Qualifications
To continue the successful growth and development of the field at JIBS is now looking for an assistant professor with the right experience, profile and networks. The position is full time and comprises research, teaching and supervising basic and advanced level courses (including PhD), close collaboration with different stakeholders and active participation in continuing to develop CeLS into an internationally recognized leader in its field.
The position requires a PhD degree with documented achievements and experiences of the applicant in the following areas: (1) research focusing on business logistics and supply chain management; (2) experiences of teaching and supervising at different levels and to different audiences. Further, the applicant's (3) ability to attract research funding; (4) experiences in collaborating with different stakeholders; (5) ability to adapt and take on teaching responsibilities within the existing courses in logistics and supply chain management.
A professional command of English is required. A good working command of Swedish is an advantage.

Thanks to a generous donation from the Carl-Olof and Jenz Hamrin Foundation and as a part of our strategy to further strengthen our leading position in family business and ownership research, we seek a Research Fellow who would like to conduct post-doctoral research at the Center for Family Enterprise and Ownership (CeFEO). The position is for 3 years, with a first evaluation after 2 years.
CeFEO is an internationally leading research center for family business and ownership issues; currently the largest in the world and ranked first in Europe and fourth globally for research publications. CeFEO was established in 2005 and has grown into a genuinely interdisciplinary and international research center with around 30 senior and junior researchers and regular visiting scholars. CeFEO is committed to “Academic Excellence and Practical Relevance” and active in the areas of research, education and outreach activities.

Working Task / Qualification
The Research Fellow will conduct research and play an active role in the continued development of CeFEO. Furthermore, on about 20% of full time the candidate is expected to teach on undergraduate and graduate levels and possibly supervise doctoral students.
The position is full time and requires a PhD degree in a relevant discipline for advanced family business research, such as business administration (entrepreneurship, strategic management, accounting, marketing, etc), economics, economic history, psychology and/or (family) sociology.
Post doc academic performance is an additional qualification. The candidate is expected to have a strong international orientation. We require professional command of English.
In making the selection, importance will be given to achievements, experiences and/or ambitions of the applicant in the following areas:
- Capacity and interest to engage in academic research at the highest level and an emergent record of international publications (especially in internationally recognized, peer-reviewed journals).
- Research experience with issues related to one or several of the following broad areas of family business; entrepreneurship, succession, governance, leadership, strategic development, internationalization, innovation and growth.
- Interest in building networks and collaborate with researchers/research centers in several countries.
- Ability and willingness to engage in joint research projects and team activities.
- Experience of teaching and ability to communicate with academic and professional audiences (especially family business owners/managers, and advisors).
